LO1 Brief and What makes a good photograph?
Brief
We have been asked to analyse a wide variety of photographers, then in the style with the knowledge of these photographers using photographic techniques and elements in a certain photographic genre create 5 photographs which will be presented in the Millennium Gallery.
What makes a good photograph
In my photography this year, I want to learn how to evoke an emotional response and develop that skill, as it really allows the audience to connect with your piece. I also want to develop my composition, as that adds to the final appearance of the photograph.
“A portrait is not a likeness. The moment an emotion or fact is transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an opinion. There Is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.” Richard Avedon
“Photography is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” Alfred Stieglitz
